FAQS
For each character that is booked, there is a $50 non-refundable deposit required. This amount is taken from your balance and the remaining of your balance is due the day of in cash.
WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT TO HOLD THE DATE FOR MY PARTY?
For each character that you are reserving, there is a $50 non-refundable deposit. For example, 1 character would be $50, 2 characters would be $100 and so on. This deposit is applied toward your balance and the remaining balance is due the day of the party in cash.
do you accept tips?
Yes! Our performers love getting tipped for the work that they did to make your child’s day extra special. Gratuities range anywhere from 20% and up. Tips are not required but are greatly appreciated. 
HOw far in advance do i need to book?
Our parties book quickly, so we suggest booking 4-6 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment, however don’t ever hesitate to book sooner or later than that.
Can I pay the balance in full?
You can pay the balance in full but this must be done 3 days before the party date and a small PayPal service fee is added on to the payment. 
How can i avoid paypal's service fee?
If you wish to pay you balance in full but do not want to be charged the small service fee, you can pay through venmo or simply pay in cash the day of your event.
How do I pay my balance the day of the party?
The remaining balance is due the day of the party in cash. We ask that you put the balance in an envelope and give it to our assistant/princess before the party ends. We don't want to spoil the magic for any children that might see a money transaction taking place. We accept cash the day of the party, or venmo 24 hours prior to the party date.
Is there a travel fee?
A travel fee applies when the location of the party is outside of a 10 mile radius from office (in Modesto). For every mile after 10 miles, we charge a $1 travel fee.
How big does the venue need to be for the performer?
While our performers are trained to entertain in any given space, we do suggest that the event is held in a venue large enough for every child to be able to sit and move comfortably during the performance.
Do you do school party visits?
Yes we do, but the flow of your party is based on the teachers routine, so our regular routine might change based on the teachers schedule. We suggest adding on an assistant to your party package to help with the large number of children that are in a classroom setting.
What is your cancellation/ REscheduling policy?
1. All events are "rain or shine," so we ask that you have an indoor option in the case that weather issues arise. 
2. If the purchaser decides to cancel their event for any reason, the purchaser forfeits the deposit. 
3. If the purchaser would like to reschedule their date, this must done within 30 days of their party. If the purchaser needs to reschedule the date after the 30 day grace period, then a new deposit will be required. (Our parties typically book 4-6 weeks in advance, so when a client cancels and changes their date, we have told other clients that those characters were booked and have likely turned away customers).
4. In the event that inclement weather prevents the princess(s) or character(s) from arriving the scheduled event on time and safely, the performers will notify the purchaser immediately. 
5. If we can not attend your party due to sickness, death in the family, or forces that can not be controlled, we will refund the purchasers deposit. 
What if a guest arrives late?
All parties will begin at the scheduled time that was contracted. All events are based on a schedule, so we do recommend that you have your character(s) arrive at least an hour after the party begins. This will give the guests a bit of wiggle room if they do arrive late to the event.
  • ​We are not able to go over the party time for any reasons. If you wish to book a longer time, this must be set up before the performers arrives. If for some reason your performers arrive late, then they will stay the time that they arrived late to complete their party duration.
  • Even if you are not ready for your entertainer upon their arrival, they are contracted for that duration of the party and are able to leave when the contracted time is up. 
What do i need to provide for the party?
We ask that you provide enough space for the performer to play games, and do their list of party activities. The performers may need a chair or a of bottle water, but otherwise we will supply everything that is needed. 
Can we request a specific performer to be a princess?
  • We try to fulfill performer requests the best that we can. We can not guarentee a specific performer though due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, death in the family, family emergencies, etc).
  • If the performer that you requested is the ONLY person who portrays this character, and you do not approve of alternative options, then Princess Party People will refund your deposit. 
Can I have my party outside?
Our costumes are custom made, so we do ask that if the party is outside that there is no puddles or mud in the area provided. If the temperature is over 85 degrees, we do ask that shade is provided. 
How far do you travel?
Our princess headquarters is located in Modesto, California. If an entertainer must travel more then 10 miles from our location, a travel fee will be added to the balance.

Harassment is NOT allowed of ANY kind.
​If any person at the party harasses an entertainer, we are subject to leaving the party and will need the full balance paid before our characters leave.
